Sugar Nellie extra challenge

The Sugarbowl challenge blog has an extra monthly challenge called "Sugar Sugar" This month the challenge was to make and use paper beads. I made these beads today and was going to make a card for them to go onto, but Lily hijakked them and said she wanted me to make them into a bracelet..............and of course with her gorgeous big eyes pleading with me how could I refuse?? Cos she's a spoiled little madam of course lol I doubt if this will count for the challenge but thought I would show you anyway :o)

bless her she is prancing round the room with nothing but her bracelet on now..............my daughter the stripper lol

here's those brown eyes..................could you refuse her??

Sketch and Stash #2

Here is the card I made for the second challenge at Sketch and Stash. There was a fabby sketch to follow. This is a little folder of stamped images I am sending off to a bloggy buddy. The paper is from stash as is the ribbon and gems. the image "Luvvie" by Sugar Nellie is the new stash as I recieved it for my birthday earlier this month.

The Sugar Bowl #2

the challenge over at The Sugar Bowl was "3".....3 papers and 3 embellishments and if you can use three Sugar Nellie stamps you'll be entered twice!! Now there's a challenge lol. All three images were sent to me by a gorgeous bloggy buddy and are coloured with promarkers. the papers are all from a set that came free with a magazine. ribbon and flowers from stash and I can't remember where brad is from!

I've been tagged

Teen has tagged me and I have to pick the 6th picture from the 6th folder. When I looked in the 6th folder the 6th pic was one I can't share as it is of one of my chilminded kids who is in foster care so I picked the next one and surprise surprise it is of Lily lol. I love this picture of her, I am amazed it came out so well! I was taking pics of cards and she asked me to take her pic and I forgot to change the camera setting, she must have been sitting close enough to be in focus :o) it was taken in July last year.
I have to tag 6 other people for this, so I pick:

colour scheme at Bootiful Stampz

over at the Bootiful Stampz blog Sally is giving you the chance to win a stamp, all you have to do is make a card/atc/whatever using the colours pink, blue, purple and white. I made these ATCs for a swap. the images were cut from an old calendar, bits and pieces of paper etc are from my scrap box :o)

Monday 26 January 2009

Dawn Baty is starting a new challenge blog called Inspirational Card Sketches. As I love sketches I thought I would enter to become a DT member. This was the sketch to follow and the card I made with it. The image came in a blog candy parcel so not sure who it is by, the papers were also from a blog candy so again don't know the maker! Don't know much today eh?! lol

Tuesday is my quietest day on the childminding front, only 2 girls in the morning, and 3 in the afternoon, with a whole 2 hours off in the middle! So today I took full advantage of the little one having a nap in the morning and the time off to make a couple of cards :o)
I have to admit that I love this card!!!! The stamp is Daisy by Sugar Nellie coloured with Promarkers. Papers were free with a magazine, flowers etc from stash, the tiny dragonfly spacers were bought on ebay. Both scalloped circles cut with nesties. This card qualifies for two challenges - Stamp Something has a challenge of "birthday somethings" and Sketch Saturday

Second card also enters 2 challenges - Secret Crafter want "hearts"and Cuttlebug Spot is to make a valentine card with NO red or pink. The cute wee hedgehogs are stitched from a pattern at Stitchingcards The patterned paper was in a blog candy parcel so no idea where it it from, the blue panel is plain cardstock embossed with swiss dots folder. Flowers, robbon etc all from stash, sentiment done on the pc. The stitching pattern is from a pack of 5 patterns so expect to see a few more stitched animals lol

30th birthday card

I made a card for an order tonight, for a 30th birthday. I like how it has turned out (shocking I know LOL) but it was a lot of work.........I have discovered I need a new craft knife, not only is the last blade I have blunt it is just a rubbish knife!!!! Also if anyone makes a similar card...........try not to have so many layers of paper to cut through either - my hand is aching :o(

Anyway enough whinging and onto the card...........patterned papers I have no idea where they are from they were loose in the paper box and only one sheet of each so I suspect they were gifted to me lol. Flowers and brads from stash and the shoe charm was in a secret santa gift I received. Let just hope its suitable lol

Tag Ur It #39

This is only my second attempt at a tag for the Tag Ur It Challenge The challenge this week: Was Santa good to you....did he leave some lovely crafty stuff in your stocking because the challenge this week is.......
NEW STASH CHALLENGE
Why don't you join in the fun....we would love to see your tags made with some of the goodies you received at Christmas or just the latest stash that you purchased.

I have used the cuttlebug that santa brought me and the paisley embossing folder, ribbon is from Tesco, tag is from stash

as are the gems. I have rubbed over the embossing with pastels, dark pink and brown. The tiny stamp was in a pack of images sent to me and I have cut it with the ribbon slider dies I bought for the cuttlebug. I can see tags are going to be anothyer addiction, I have a blast making this lol

crafty afternoon

Lily and I have spent the afternoon at the craft table while hub has spent the afternoon sleeping off last nights excesses and todays New Year Dinner lol We had a lovely afternoon, Lily loves to craft with me and loves to look through my stash even though she has a stash of her own ;o)

Card 1 is for the challenge over at Magnolia vs Stampavie The Sarah Kay image came from a bloggy buddy and I love it, but cropped it with my new nesties to fit the sketch. The backing paper came in a secret santa parcel on a parchment forum I visit, love the colour so funky lol. Sarah Kay is coloured with watercolour pencils. Flowers and brads from stash, lace from blog candy. I am also entering this card onto the Cute Card Thursday chellenge as there is an open theme this week :o)

Card 2 is for the very first week of the Sugar Bowl challenge. I have used the gorgeous Macbeth stamp I won on Kath's blog candy with some papers I received in a blog candy......just realised most of this card has arrived from blog candies :o) Macbeth has been coloured with whispers pens. There is a peel off "best wishes" on the ribbon slider but it doesn't show so well in the picture. This card is for my hub's birthday next week, I am hoping he will like it lol

Sketch Saturday

This week over at Sketch Saturday there is no sketch just the choice of the 30 sketches already set this year!! OOOH it was hard to pick but I decided on Sketch #7. The image is a Tilda that I received in a blog candy package coloured with Whispers Pens, ribbons from the stash and a few prima flowers. It was the first card I had made since before Xmas and I had loads of fun with it :o)
