Simple baby card

ooops its been so long since I posted anything.......this year so far has been a sickly one!  We started the year with Alfie having a chest infection on his birthday, I had been struggling with a stubborn cough too over Christmas and New Year.  Now 3 months later.......I have had antibiotics for a chest infection, then steroids as the cough wasn't shifting and I am struggling to breathe so I am now getting tested for asthma to top it all off!...... and poor Alfie has another chest infection.  In between that we've have Alfie and Lily down with sickness bugs too.  Am seriously thinking of crafting myself an "unclean" bell for the front door!

I thought I would share this REALLY simple card with you today.  There is a wee sneaky peek at a new digi image from Anice, but it's nice and small and hopefully Anice won't notice and smack my wrists too much haha!

I used the Rainbow Polkadots papers.  I do love polkadots.  I drew round my double sided tape roll once on each sheet.  Once cut out, I cut them in half.  One half becomes the base of the pram, then cut the other in half again to make the hood.  Two small circles (I drew round my pritt stick lid this time....technical stuff here!) for the wheels.  It looked a wee bit bare so I found a wee sliver of pink ribbon and coloured it purple with a promarker to edge the base of the pram.  Then a small tag made with the BABY word digi image and it was done!

Anyone who knows me knows I do like a nice simple card, and this one is perfect for a last minute card, as it really doesn't take long to make.  You can also make it more fancy if you have the time :)

I also made a wee tag to go with this card.  It is paper pieced with the same polkadot paper, and just a few wee added pearls.

We'd love you to share any Funky Hand makes you've been making, either on the Get Funky and Craft blog or on the Funky Hand Facebook page.

Valentine's Choccies

Valentine's Day tomorrow! I am sure the mad advertising on tv and everyhwere else has not escaped your attention lol
Ian and I don't do much in the romace department for Valentines Day if I am honest, but I usually get the old man a sweetie or two and a card.  This year I thought the new download from Funky Hand, Just for Jen was perfect for a bit of Valentine's craftiness.  I chose the grey paper cos it's perfect for Ian, he's not much of a hearts and flowers type.  Red always goes so well with grey, plus it matched the heart Choccies so had to go with that.

The box was a little one I got from ikea ages ago.  They come plain white for decorating and are perfect for us crafters. I cut a swirl for behind the heart, the sentiment was done on the pc.  The narrow ribbon was one of those most annoying loops found inside almost every top I buy these days! I cut them out and put them straight in my craft stash.

The Choccie hearts were from poundland (shhh don't tell hubby). Sadly not all the Choccies would fit in and there was one lonely wee heart left all on its ownsome...........not for long though I soon put it out of its misery.  Since I made the box though I have in fact given the choccies to Lily to give for Valentine's Day!  She has a wee boyfriend at school and he gave her a lovely teddy and card on Monday and seeing as she is now off school for the rest of the week for half term we literally had Monday night to get something for her to give him.  So I sacrificed Ian's choccies for young love.......awwwwww

SO best get out to poundland for more choccies eh?

Spring Colours for Get Funky and Craft

It is my turn to share over at Get Funky and Craft.  I have been lacking in mojo somewhat lately and haven't made anything for a while.  I made a few Christmas cards, but just for close friends and family.  But I have made a resolution/challenge to get back into my craft room and get busy!

So to start myself off I have made a card for a friend at work.  No cutie pie images for her, she's not really that kind of gal, so thought I would go with the sentiment as the focal point.  I love these papers from the Happy Happy Birthday cd, the collection is Winter Birthday.  I love the spring colours in this stripy paper.  I made the sentiment with the write on the cd, fab for matching the colour to the paper.

Flower, leaves, ribbon and charm all from stash.

Phew that's the first card of the year done.........if anyone sees my mojo send her home would you? lol
