squeezed in some crafting!

I was away for most of last week, we had to travel to Essex for Ian's mum's funeral. We got back on Sunday night so I had virtually a week off from crafting (!) It was a lovely service and my fab mother in law got a great send off, she would have loved it!
Yesterday was spent with catching up on the dreaded housework (sorry for the bad language lol) and washing, so that meant today I could get the craft stuff out.

This card is for this weeks sketch at 2 sketches 4 u it is Laura's sketch #10, nice and minimal. I could have gone mad with it but decided to stick to it and keep the card simple too. It is also for the challenge over at Daring Cardmakers, the theme this week is "scallops" so I dug out the scalloped scissors which I only just recently found in the craft box lol.

This next card is for the Papertake Weekly Challenge there are two challenges to choose from, either 1st birthdays or no stamping, I have in fact got a 1st birthday card to make this month but I couldn't get any inspiration for it, so went with the no stamping theme. It is a gatefold card, inside there are chipboard embellies on acetate strips so that they swing a bit in the breeze.
It's lovely to get back into crafting,
I do miss it when I can't do it!

Two lovely cards Amanda.

Thanks for taking part in this week dare over at the DCM’s. You must have had some fun cutting your scalloped edges with decorative scissors. When ever I try to use mine (not the scalloped ones) I never manage to match up the pattern.
