and the news is....

Some of you may have seen on the Funky Hand blog that there was a dt call and my news is that I have been picked to join it!!! I was doing a happy dance when I got the email from Anice and I am so excited to be joining the fabby dabby team :o)

We're all freezing our backsides off here in the panda household, the temps here have dropped again and the roads are treacherously icy! YUK! Normally the cold weather would mean plenty of crafty time but my wee monkey man has been unsettled at nights the last week or so and I just haven't got the energy to get the crafty stash out! Sad I know and something I am planning on rectifying tomorrow as soon as the wee monster is in bed for his lunchtime nap :o)

Allsorts 85 fancy folds

Morning all and Happy Saturday to you all! We have a wee smattering of snow here but it is threatening more......typical school goes back on Monday, knowing my luck the heating will be broken again and Lily will be home for longer (OH joy)

This week at Allsorts the gorgeous Emma is challenging you to use a fancy fold on your base card. Now I have to admit this made me a bit worried, its been a long time since I used anything other than a square card!!! But once I got into it I quite enjoyed it.....not that I'll be making one again in a hurry or anything lol but it was a fun afternoon lol

The papers are all Funky Hand Salt and Pepper download, ribbon and purple cardstock is SU as is the celebrate sentiment, the flowers are Papermania I think, the packaging is missing so I could be wrong, have had them for years. I also used the lacy circles nestie dies I got for Christmas oooohhh I am loving them they are gorgeous :o)

This week at Allsorts Fleur has set the theme of "thankyou". I have made this card for a friend of mine, she's not really a girly colour lover so used this lovely rich green card to back it. The pattern is from Parchmentcraft Magazine, its an old one. I have made this one a few times as I just love it. I had forgotten how long these parchment cards take to make! I started it on Friday and didn't get it finished properly and mounted til Sunday night. I should have taken the pic and posted it yesterday but we had a lot of visitors so I just didn't get round to it

Some good news

Hello all and I hope that 2011 is treating you well so far. We had a quiet New Year, hard not to with two little ones lol

I got some good news on New Years Eve.....actually it was after 12 so was officially New Years Day and that is that I have been chosen to join the DT at Instyle Stamps!! For the next three months I will be a chicklet :o) There are 10 other fabby crafters on the chicklet team with me and I am delighted to be working with them for the next few months.

I am so excited I can't wait to get started :o)

2011 already howd that happen??

Seriously, how did 2011 sneak up on me? one minute I was getting organised for Christmas the next it was Alfie's birthday and now New Year!!

The kids had a really lovely Christmas day, Alfie didn't really know what was going on but he had a fab time with the wrapping paper and empty boxes :o)

With today being the 1st of the month it is a new challenge over at Penny Black at Allsorts and this month I am being a guest designer :o) The theme is "All you need is love" As I was so busy making notebooks for all of Lily's friends she pipes up on Christmas Eve......mummy are you making one for me for Christmas? I have no idea why not but it didn't even occur to me to make one for her lol So I knocked this up on christmas eve, the image is Penny Black "Gone Shopping", paper is a scrap, I used the cuttlebug to cut the photo corners and the ribbon slider. pearls etc all from stash.
