pandas and monsters!!

Had some fun today with some oriental stamps I had forgotten I had!! Made a couple of birthday cards, one of which is for my step dad's birthday on Monday. The monster card is made with an image from Tracy and Fred She Said the image was drawn by Tracy's son, who has certainly inherited Tracy's doodle genes!! The papers were free in a magazine and I am so gutted that I didn't line up the stripy paper properly.......talk about a cock up! Ah well ho hum such is life lol

handbag for Ian's grand daughter

One of Ian's grand daughters has a birthday this week, she will be 9 so I thought a girlie handbag card would go down well. Found the peel offs in my stash when I was looking for something else!! A couple of matching papers, a few gems and a happy birthday peel off et voila a card for a 9 year old :) Not really a huge fan of peel offs but they do come in handy sometimes lol

more froggys

I am LOVING my new frog stamp!! made these two card last night, the first one is stamped with blue stazon onto an acetate wrap then when it was dry I glittered the flowers and the eyelids just for a bit of detail. It is glittered on the back. I almost couldn't do the glittering as I couldn't find the fine nozzle for my glue lol, so then I thought I would colour it with my fineliner pens but they don't work on acetate :( Eventually after much searching I found the nozzle and got the glitter out. haven't glittered like that for a long time, it was good fun. three little gems and a bit of ribbon to finish it off :)

the second card is stamped onto white card and heat embossed with purple powder. It is just coloured with the fineliner pens, re stamped the flowers to make them 3d with a couple of foam pads. the backing paper is like webbing with glitter in it, love it, the brads were just cheap stationery ones so I dipped them in my clear ink pad then embossed them with the same powder as the frog so they matched :)

what a fun evening I had, it's been ages since I have sat down with the stash and just started a card!!

Frog card

OMG surely not two posts in one day......shocker lol I made this card with my newest stamp, it arrived this week (bought it on ebay). I am not a big stamper, I find it difficult to look at a stamp and see lots of different cards, but I have decided to just buy some and get on with it. If worst comes to the worst and I have stamps I don't use I will just sell them lol

my school girl

Can't believe it has come round so fast but it has. Lily is now a fully fledged school girl!! She was all excited in the morning she musy have asked a hundred times if it was time to go to school lol. She had a wee panic when the bell went and she wanted me to come in with her, but by the time she was in and us parents came in she was busy and happy so I told her I was going and she said "ok mum", not a tear and hardly even a goodbye!! This morning she didn't even give us a kiss goodbye just a wee wave and off she went :) bless
long may the enthusiasm for school last!!

baby card

I made this card for an online friend who had a little girl, Kira, I really love these Morehead sheets, they look FAB when they are made up and are so cute they can be used for anything :) Have been really busy for the last week or so, haven't had much time to do any crafting, never mind the kids are back to school soon so will have some time to myself again lol

Blog present from Carol!!

I was very surprised but also very pleased to be nominated for the Blogging Friends Forever Award! Now the way I understand it, the rules are as follows:

1. Only 5 people allowed. (to be nominated)
2. 4 have to be dedicated followers of your blog
3. One (1) has to be someone new or recently new to your blog and live in another part of the world.
4. You must link back to whoever gave you the award.

Now I have a problem as I don't many people who actually visit my blog lol!!! So I will basically pick the few people I know have visited at least once lol and some that I visit daily

So here goes:

1. Theresa, my friend koala from Oz
2. Hev, another aussie gal
3. Deborah, the lady who makes me want to try stamping lol
4. Kath, she very kindly helped me with blog linking and she is a fellow Scot ;)
5. Carol....the person who nominated me!

Carol my dear thankyou so very much for thinking of me
