All my crafty goodies!!

Ok here goes with the pics of all the stuff I bought yesterday! I actually met up with 2 of my aunts and my gran at the SECC, it wasn't arranged before I booked to go, they happened to mention a couple of days before that they were going when they heard I was going too!! I haven't seen them since New Year so it was great to catch up with them :o)

Both my aunts are cross stitch mad and although I haven't done any for a while I must admit I do like Cross stitching as well so we started off in the stitching hall. There really were some gorgeous kits and I couldn't resist these two.......

The baby shoe one was reduced to £2.99 so how could I NOT buy it?? The latte one is going to be for my kitchen (we are putting a new kitchen in later in the year) I thought I could take some of the lovely bright colours for paint and accessories!

After lunch we headed over to the hobby craft hall and this was the bit I was most looking forward to (I'm sure you're not surprised to hear that lol)

I have no idea what half of the stalls were called, I really just concentrated on what they HAD!!
Set of nesties: label
Fiskars threading water punch
silver stickles
pink liquid pearls
cute wee birdie stamp
Lilac and aqua papers by Dovecraft (£1 so got two!)
cream tone papers by Papermania

2 pack jewel brads (clear and lilac/green)
2 packs eyelets (lilacs and greens)
pastel brads
glue pen
and whole pile of charms!!

Plenty of rolls of DS tape (they were 2 for £1)
15 mini rolls of ribbon (15 rolls for £6)
2 packs Papermania flowers
some more ribbon :o)

These Fiskars goodies were given to me by Lorraine's boss as I said goodbye to Lorraine on my way to the bus!! How good was that? One of the finger blades and some stencils.......fab!
I was already planning on going to the fair in October by the time I got on the bus to come home and when I mentioned it to Ian when I got home he reminded me that its the weekend of his son's wedding in Gretna so sadly I won't be going!! Ah well never mind, maybe I can talk him into stopping in on the way home on the Sunday lol

cupcakes for a couple of challenges

I am just loving the ribbons I received for the cupcake challenge at Crafty Ribbons, they are really fabby I was asked to make 2 cards and I ended up making 4 lol
This card uses the sketch from Mojo Monday and I have flipped the sketch to make the ribbon the right way round! the stamp is by Bootiful Stampz, she is coloured with promarkers, the stripy paper was a scrap I found in the drawer, both ribbons are from Crafty Ribbons.

This card uses the sketch from Truly Scrumptious, the papers were free in a magazine, as before the ribbons are all from Crafty Ribbons. The doily was in my drawer and the cupcake is made with cardstock, the pink icing piece has beads sewn on.

And this last card was just one that came to me in the middle of the night lol I remembered that had the pattern for a stitched cupcake, so I did the icing on its own and cut it out. There is a patterned paper which doesn't really show up in the pic, it was free in a magazine as well lol

I am of to the SECC tomorrow to the craft fair and I am sooo looking forward to it!! I rarely get any time to myself so a whole day is like a holiday to me :o) Also the prospect of buying lots of craft stash is very welcome!!! The Crafty Ribbons people are at the show so I'm taking my cards to hand in to them there :o)

Lorraine's fabby candy

Lorraine over at Crafty Coo has a fabby idea for blog candy to celebrate being a demo at the SECC this weekend. It had started off with a jewellery making kit but will be growing over the next two weeks, in fact there will be 14 items as Lorraine is adding something to it every day!!! Get yourself over there and join in, you will get an entry for each day you comment :o)

animals for Cute Card Thurs and Charisma Cardz

The theme over at Cute Card Thursday and Charisma Cardz is "Animals". This piece has been on the go for a while and is for a friend's birthday, seeing the theme spurred me on to finish it off. It is quite a large piece to be framed, the piece of card it is on is A4 so that should give you an idea of the size of it lol. I have made this pattern a couple of times and I love it, I must get round to making it for myself one of these days! All the different areas have different grid patterns.

ABC challenge............C is for

The challenge at ABC is to make a child's card.....I love making kids cards, especially with a child in mind, this one was made with a boy in Lily's class in mind, Jack is Spiderman daft! The spiderman picture is 3d.

The letters were drawn freehand and edged with black pen to make them stand out against each other, the greeting is a peel off.
