Allsorts week 10!

Week 10??? How did that come around so fast? Must be because I have so much fun with the challenges lol This week the challenge was set by Emma and it's "1" ie 1 image, 1 paper, 1 ribbon, 1 button etc.................tricky or what? The prize this week is a two week Guest Designer spot, can't wait to see everyone's creations :o)

I am making some cards for an aunt who is doing a week of seminars at her church (in London) on being happy and at peace with your life, she asked me to make 20 cards for her to give to the participants, most have bible verses on but she wanted one with a cross and I found this gorgeous pattern in my laptop...............

So this is my 1 image, with 1 ribbon and 1 charm :o) I have a few more to make still so I will show them throughout next week as I finish them. Busy week this week as I have to get us all packed up for our holiday (leaving on Friday night) can't wait to get away :o)

Finished!!!

If you read my post earlier in the week you will know that I have been busy stitching a cross stitch for a wedding we are going to next weekend. I thought I would share with you the finished piece :o)

I love the words of this blessing and this is the second time I have done this pattern as a wedding gift. Here are the words in case you can't read them:
Now you will feel no rain for each of you will be shelter for the other
Now you will feel no cold for each of you will be warmth for the other
Now there is no more loneliness
Now you are two persons but there is only one life before you
May your days together be good and long upon the earth
Hoping to get back to the craft table tonight................got my Allsorts card to make and a couple of birthdays for when we are on holiday :o)

Honest I've not disappeared!!

Oh dear I can't believe it's been so long since I posted anything!! I should have had a card to show on Saturday for the Allsorts Challenge but I did the dreaded thing and spilled a cup of coffee all over it when it came to photo time! OOOHHH I could have just kicked myself! It was too late to make a new one and we were going to my nephew's first birhtday on the Saturday so I didn't even have time to make one on the Saturday morning...............aaarrggghhh lol

I have been blog hopping each day as usual, but haven't been making any cards, not a challenge for a whole week...........oh the shock lol. I have been working on a cross stitch for a wedding we are going to in 2 weeks, I need to get it done so I can get it framed, I am hoping to get it finished tonight or tomorrow and then the craft stuff won't know whats hit it :o)

We had a lovely weekend, it was my nephews first birthday on Saturday so there was a BBQ, the weather was fabulous and he was a wee star, no crying or whingeing at all!!

Cameron:Me, Lily and my mum

Right back to the stitching!! Back as soon as I have finished it................................

meet baby panda

Well girlies I went for the scan yesterday.............awwww makes it all real seeing the wee thing jumping around in there!! Up until yesterday I was still convinced that I could be imagining it and they would tell me to go home and stop being stupid lol

I was only 3 days out on the date calculations............so new date is 30 December LOL Ian is so happy to hear he will be spending Xmas and New Year sober (we live 42 miles away from the hospital so he needs to stay sober for when he has to drive me there lol)........hahahaha he is far from happy but hey ho these things happen eh?

another notebook :o)

If Mr Blogger is playing nicely you should be viewing this while I am away at Tina's house.......the reason I am scheduling this is that it is a present for Tina so can't blog it before she gets is lol
It fits in a few challenges (so of course I am going to have to link this up when I get back.......oh noooo I bet I forget lol) First of all I used the sketch from Friday Sketchers; Polkadoodles want us to have fruiton our pojects (there are cherries on the cupcakes paper and I am hoping I will get away with the tenuous button "cherry") they also want a hidden element (see pic below) and Secret Crafters Saturday Challenge want us to use three ribbons :o)Image: paper scraps
Papers are both Papermania
Ribbons: both from Crafty Ribbons
Pearls and flowers: from stash
Also used: martha stewart punch, sticky pearls from stash

Blue and Green for Daring Cardmakers

The theme over at Daring Cardmakers this week is Blue and Green. I'm not particularly a fan of these colours, but thought I'd give it a bash as I had a first birthday card to make for my nephew Cameron.

I got the number template via Google. The green gingham paper is from Funky Fairy's "Gorjuss Gingham" the other paper is Papermania (I think!). The wee Dino is from Studio G. Sentiment done on the computer. Letters cut with Cuttlekids Alphabet Die on Cuttlebug and all other bits n pieces are from my stash.
Life has been pretty quiet here in the Pandahouse, I am going for my scan on Tuesday so I will get my first glimpse of wee panda :o) I'll be sharing the pic on Tuesday night........awwwww
We are all off tomorrow on a wee drive up to visit Tina (macpurp) so hope to have some pics for you tomorrow night :o)

Allsorts Week 8....my challenge

Morning girlies it is my week over at Allsorts and I am challenging you to make a shaped card!! My card was made for one of our Sunday School teachers who was leaving after 26 years of service! She loves lilac and butterflies so I knew what I wanted to do :o)
The image is traced onto plain parchment them embossed with the micro ball tool, sun tool used round the edges and a bit of gridowrk beside the butterfly, the body is stippled. I used my Promarkers to colour the wings from the back then the body edge is embossed. It is mounted onto an oval base of rainbow coloured parchment.
I hope you'll all take up my challenge, can't wait to come and see your creations :o)

Sketch and Stash

For the second notebook I used the sketch over at Sketch and Stash. The new stash on this is my spanky new Martha Stewart Border Punch which I LOVE LOVE LOVE!! It looks fab and it cuts so well :o)

Image is Daisy by Sugar Nellie coloured with my trusty PMs. Again all papers and ribbon are Stampin Up.

Well I better go and wrap these up now eh as Lily needs to take them into school tomorrow :o)

Whiff of Joy POM

This is my first time joining in the Project of the Month from Whiff of Joy and it is the perfect one for today! The challenge is to make a gift for a teacher ~ well how good is the timing of that? Lily finishes school tomorrow lunchtime and I usually make boozy chocs for the teachers but with the heat I ~ 1 can't be bothered to make them and 2 don't think they would set so after browsing through the samples of the POM I decorated 2 notebooks.

All papers and cardstocks are Stampin Up as is the ribbon. The flowers are from stash. I have used the sketch over at Papertake Weekly
Awww bless look at my baby's handwriting lol
Back soon with the next one :o)
