another challenge

I have found another challenge site (via Deborah's blog!!) I like the idea of weekly challenges to kick me up the bum cratively lol This is a card I made a while ago but fits for the "Beads" challenge over at the Daring Cardmakers blog

Arty Girlz challenge

this weeks challenge over at Arty Girlz is "wings". I have loads of cards made with butterflies but I thought I would try something a bit different. The 3d sheet is a bought one that I love, I have cut off the original wings and made some new ones with parchment vellum, one layer of rainbow vellum with a layer of gridworked vellum over the top. I think it is quite cute lol

new type of folded card

found a tutorial on making these on utube so thought I would give it a wee go! Quite easy to do and lots of scope for decorating it :)
The first one is for a wee boy called Oliver who isn't well, poor thing I hope he will be feeling better soon. He will be getting a lot of cards to cheer him up as he is getting a card shower from the ladies on Circle of Crafters. Lily also made him a card but I posted it before I realised I hadn't taken a picture, oooppppssss

this weekend

made these cute little shoes for my brother and his girlfriend who are expecting their first child, a boy, next month. the shoes are 6cm long!! So tiny lol, the box is made for the shoes to go in, it is very cute in the flesh lol. It is hard for me to imagine my wee brother as a dad lol I say wee brother he is in fact 31 years old! I suppose he will always be 13 to me, I am sure he will be a great dad though.

I also made this card over the weekend, I like it, it is nice and simple and can be used for almost any occassion. The pattern is by Sue McGuirk and is from the June edition of Parchment Craft Magazine

dragonfly card

Made this card over yesterday and today! I really like how it has come out, the pattern had punched flowers in the gaps but my punches were too big, so used sequins and beads instead. It is backed with a rainbow vellum insert. The rainbow colour comes through better in real life :) I am entering this into the "Recycling Challenge" on the Arty Girlz site, it is the first time I have entered one of the challenges. The sequins are recycled from two hairbands that my daughter no longer wears ;)

card I finished last night

Started this card the night before last, my hand was aching after all the gridwork! Finished it last night with the glittery rose sticker. it is stitched to the apricot vellum insert with peach thread. I am really pleased with how it has turned out, even of the bumble bee is hiding a minor booboo lol

been a while lol

Have been so enjoying the sunshine this last couple of weeks that I haven't had much time on the pc or cardmaking!! I have the BEST job I reckon.........while the kids have been playing in the sun in the garden I HAVE to sit and keep an eye on them and sometimes join in too lol

Here's a couple of cards I have managed to squeeze in in the evenings, as you can see still addicted to parchment craft lol
