Been playing with the new Funky hand downloads

I had a lovely crafty afternoon yesterday.......kids in front of the tv (bad mummy) and hubby watching the football and I had some peace and quiet in the craft room for once.

Anice released two new downloads last weekend, Funky Kraft and Steam Funk. I have to say both downloads are LUSH! These two cards are using Funky Kraft. I knew the partridge in the pear tree image from the 12 crafters crafting cd would go with the papers with the lovely muted shades it has

I am entering this card into a couple of challeges:

While I was in 12 crafters crafting I printed out this cutie wee angel and made a card for a wee angel. Not sure who that will be tho, bit babyish for my grown up Lily lol

Funky Hand Blog Hop

Welcome to the second Funky Hand Blog Hop!!! This weekend Funky Hand is releasing not one but TWO gorgeous downloads that I just KNOW you are going to LOVE. You should have arrived at my wee corner of blogland from the fabulous Jenny's blog, if not or you've got a wee bit lost just head on back to Anice's blog and the order will be there as well as the details of how to join in with the blog hop :o) You will need to leave me a wee messsage before you hop on over to the gorgeous Jackie.

The first download is called Funky Kraft Stash, and that all important K should give you a clue to what its all about!! Yup the papers are all scrummy shades of Kraft :o) they are just irresistable.

My card for the hop is made using this download. I used two of the papers. The base layer and the hearts are all handstitched (it felt like a good idea when I had it lol but is took ages!!) A scrap of ribbon from my stash and two pins also from stash were added just to finish it off.

The second is one that I am sure is going to be snapped up, its called Steam Funk so I know you will all love it. Funky cogs and clocks and other such scrummy stuff :o)

Over at the Get Funky Challenge there are just a few days left to enter for this months Thankyou Challenge set by the gorgeous Anice.

My card was made using the fabulous funky freebie paper that Anice made for the challenge, it's really a lovely paper to work with, aren't the colours just so lush? The freebie paper is available to download here. The letters were simply cut out and matted onto some white card, and layered with candy pink card and the paper. I've used a pre-cut scalloped card and added just a scrap of ric rac and a cutie bag charm.

I started my new job on Monday and have had to schedule this post as I will be at work all day :o) I had a really good day on Monday, lots and lots to learn but I am looking forward to it :o)

I made this cutie dinky wee card (its 9cm square)for one of our grand daughters who is 15 tomorrow and hopefully she won't read this on my facebook feed lol. Can't believe she is 15.......oh man I feel old!!

Oooops I don't know where the time went since I last posted!!! My mojo went for a wee holiday then Christmas and the ensuing madness came along and I just didn't seem to have a moment to do anything!! So my New Years Resolution is to blog more and fine time to craft. I am starting a job on Monday, just part time 3 days a week, but I am hoping the time out the house and the adult conversation will get me out of the rut I had got into. I wasn't doing any crafting even though I was doing very little in the evenings.

So here is my first card of 2012 :o) I had a great time making it too, really enjoyed myself.

Twelve Crafters Crafting

I thought it was about time I got ma backside in gear and showed a couple of the samples for the newest Funky Hand cd Twelve Crafters Crafting. When the new cd arrived in the post a few weeks ago I was feeling a bit blarghhh with my crafting, mrs mojo had taken a long holiday and was sunning herself on some beach somewhere with some young hot looking summer fling lucky beggar and I just wasn't enjoying crafting. So with a little trepidation I loaded the cd into the pc and oooooh mammmmma!!! mrs mojo wasn't happy at having to come straight home from the beach but hey there was work to be done and after 20 minutes scrolling through the papers and images I was already filled with ideas lol

My first make was this wee angel bauble. I saved this packaging from a gift I received ages and ages ago and this was exactly the thing I had in mind for it! I printed the angel image twice and coloured it with my promarkers, attached them to a scalloped cirlce embossed with the snowflake embossign folder and attached some eyelash ribbon between the two layers.I first saw one of these Finnish Stars on Debbi's blog The Crafty Cuttings of Wiccababe and I HAD to have a go. The instructions said a 12"x12" sheet of paper so I printed both sides of two A4 sheets and had a wee go........I am definetely making some of these for the house this year, I think they will look lovely in the windows Next up I used a die cut cracker I received in a card making kit and covered it with a sheet of the paper then cut it out and put a wee tag on. I am making more of these for myself as placemarkers for the Christmas table :o)

Of course with all the Funky Hand cds comes the fabulous wordbook maker so I thought I'd have a go at one of them too lol

I have to admit I will ba making most of my cards this year using the cd, would you believe I still haven't made any Christmas cards yet? Ooohhhh shocking lol I have come to the decition I am not making all my cards this year, some people just don't appreciate them so I am only making for the folk I know will really love them and appreciate the time and effort!!

I've got a couple of more bits n pieces to show but will save them for another day :o)

Card for Lily

It was my gorgeous girl's 8th birthday on Tuesday! Awwww what a fab 8 years they have been though it doesn't feel that long! She had a lovely day, plenty of cards and pressies and a Hello Kitty cake :o) My card was made following the sketch from the Sugar Bowl and one of my favourite Gorjuss Girls, had to be one of them for my own gorgeous girl lol. She's very into bright colours these days as opposed to the pastel pink from when she was younger so I used these scrummy papers I got in a cardmakers kit. The flowers are all from my stash box. Letter cut with cuttlekids alphabet and glittered with Stampin Up dazzling diamonds. DDs also used on the heart. The text stamp is stampin Up.

Hehehe I had fun making this card!!! My friend's little boy will be three later this month and he is a bit mad on Lightening McQueen, so I wanted to make him a card with that in mind but without going down the whole printing an image of it road. The paper and car template are from the Happy Happy Birthday cd by Funky Hand. The black square of card is embossed with an industrial looking folder, like the tread on metal stairs, the car buttons were bought yonks ago when I was knitting for Alfie and I couldn't resist them lolI used some acetate for the windscreen, some more buttons for headlights and some card candy too. The card goes round to the back of the card too, with rear lights, will take a pic later if I remember (wouldn't hold your breath tho lol) I hope he likes it :o)

Evening!! Friday night again how did that happen? I've no idea where the days go lol Since we moved I have been able to get out and about a lot more. Alfie and I go swimming every week and toddlers twice a week and swimming with Lily every week. It is fabulous!! I am loving it :o) This card was made using die cut decouage sheets and matching papers from Dovecraft that I bought ages ago. The tag stamp was bought at the secc as were the flower shaped nestie type things. I've used glossy accents on the cherry and icing, lace is from stash and the pink card stock was in the scrap drawer.

Had a lovely evening in the craft room a few days ago, tidied away all my SECC goodies and made a wee card........who needs anything else? LOL

The card is for a wee girl who just turned 1 on Sunday.

The image is Joanna Sheen Messy Rabbit, paper is Funky Hand, Happy Happy Birthday, tag stamp, cardstock, card base all from secc stash. Also used the Martha Stewart border punch and Lacey Circles Nestie. Rest is all from my stash :o)

Good Morning!!! And welcome to the Funky Hand Blog Hop.

Hopefully you will have come to my blog from the lovely Ruth's blog TipTop Toppers Things, if not then please head to the Funky Hand Blog and start from there as the instructions and blog hop order are all there for you.

The blog hop is to celebrate the release of the newest cd from Funky Hand called 12 Crafters Crafting and as the name suggests it's a festive cd full of gorgeous scrummy papers and images for all things Christmassy!! Some of you will have lots of your cards already made but if you are anything like me you won't be that organised lol In fact I haven't made any cards yet! I know I know lol My report card would say "must do better" hehe I have to admit I wasn't exactly full of festive spirit when the cd arrived, but within minutes of flicking through all the gorgeous papers, templates and images I was full of ideas and HAD to get started straight away!

Spookily enough with a name like 12 Crafter's Crafting there are 12 paper collections and luckily there are 12 members of the DT. We all picked a collection to use and I picked the one called Xmas Presents.

The prize for picking up all the letters, rearranging them into the right word/phrase and remembering to leave a comment on everyone's blogs is a copy of the gorgeous 12 Crafters Crafting However if you simply can't wait to see if you have won the prize it is available right now to pre order before it's official release on 5th November.

My project uses the lovely angel image, isn't she the cutest? I coloured her with promarkers and attached her to a nestie cut circle embossed with the snowflake embossing folder. Between the two layers is some angel hair cord just to set it off. The plastic casing was saved from a gift I received many Christmases ago, I thought it would be perfect for just this kind of project :o)

No more Allsorts.....

Aww I am so sad to say I have decided to step down from the Allsorts DT! To be there right from the start was a huge priviledge and I enjoyed it every week, but between the demands of a larger house to clean and now having plenty of places to go and people to see there just doesn't seem like there is much time left for crafting, and having a weekly deadline wasn't helping my mojo to be honest.

So it is with a heavy heart I have nothing to show this weekend!!!!! But fear not now that the deadline issue has been lifted I am hoping mr mojo will return and I will be able to craft for fun :o)

And seeing as I have no cardage to show I thought I'd share the latest pic of my gorgeous wee monkeys :o)

This week at Allsorts the gorgeous Debs wants to see your bears! As long as there is a bear as the main image you're in lol My bear is a Penny Black stamp, one of the clear sets. Not sure where the paper and cardstock are from as they arrived in a kit I get from a fabby friend (Duckpond Crafts) Sentiment is SU. I had a wee go at distressing the edges, I still find it hard to really go to town on the distressing, it always seems such a shame to waste all that effort in cutting the papers straight, it took me years to master that lol Hmmm looking at my pic I think it looks a wee bit skew wiff! oh dear!

Just a quick post between putting Alfie to bed and getting Lily off to bed next :o)

I was in a lilac mood today, in fact I am wearing a lilac top too! I've used papers from Happy Happy Birthday by Funky Hand, the image is one of my fave oldies, had it forever lol. The ribbon, lace and brads are from my stash. The flowers are using EK Success punches, embossed with Swiss dots. I'm not too happy with the photo, I had to buy myself a new camera last week and it's taking me a wee while to get used to it, although a bit of daylight may have helped lol

Right, off to get Lily off to bed and settle Alfie cos I can still hear him yapping away lol. Time for some peace and quiet :o)

Late again with my Allsorts card! Don't worry I am typing this from the naughty step lol I do have a good reason this week I have to say. On Friday evening I was back in Kingussie for a fundraising Chocolate Party. My friend arranged it to raise money for the Maggie's Cancer Care Centres after a very dear friend of our was diagnosed with cancer. He is currently undergoing treatment and is using the centre in Inverness.

I am glad to say the night was a huge success, there were soooo many people there, it was such a great night. £2185.10 was raised, no mean feat for a small Highland village I am sure you'll agree. I went along to help out and spent so long taking everyone's entry money and raffle tickets that not a drop of chocolate passed my lips!! Phew the diet won't be ruined too much lol

Being away from home I didn't get a chance to make my post out :( But I am here now lol Helene has set a challenge of using at least 5 flowers. My card was made with a Digistamp Boutique image, coloured with my lovely old PMs. The paper is Papermania I think, flowers and brads are from stash as is the scraps of pink card stock. We are sponsored this week by the Pretty Little Ribbon Shop and Digistamp Boutique so there are two fabby prizes to be won this week. Hope you can join us this week :o)

......a bit like myself lol Over at Allsorts it is my turn to set the theme and I decided on the Clean and Simple style. If I'm honest I love it when others do it but when I try it myself I have to stop myself adding to it, you know a wee ribbon here, a couple of wee flowers or something and then 30 secs later its no longer CAS lol Today's card is a perfect example...I was trying to add a bit of ribbon to it before I slapped myself and stepped away from the craft room before I ruined it :o)

I've used Funky Hand's Happy Happy Birthday yet again, I am just loving it so much! The card base is printed straight onto the card, the image is precoloured and I have layered the foam and THAT IS IT...............surely it just needs just a wee smidge of something?????

One for the men.....

I decided to challenge myself and use the Just 4 Men collection on the Happy Happy Birthday cd. I always struggle with men's cards, but to be honest when I saw the gorgeous scrummy papers and the digi stamps on the cd it was easy peasy!!

The card was made with a ready coloured digi. The buttons are also from Funky Hand. The wee scraps of ribbon are from Crafty Ribbons, sheer puff dots (who else lol)

Next I used the bunting template to make a DAD banner. The beers and Happy Birthday are both digis from the cd. The beers have been heat embossed with white powder for the froth and the glasses have glossy accents on. The letters are also from the cd......basically the only thing not on the cd is the flowers and ribbon and pearls lol The ribbon is again from Crafty Ribbons :o)

The fabby dabby Happy Happy Birthday cd is well and truly on sale!! woohoo!! Anice was on Create and Craft twice last Thursday and sold lots and lots :o) I just realised I haven't shown my makes for the new cd so thought I would show them over the next couple of days

First up I used the cake box template with different papers and made this cake :o) When I made the first box I could just imagine using them as party boxes for Lily's next birthday party.

Each box is from a different paper and each has a ribbon "filling" and some candles and flowers on top.

Got some visitors staying for the weekend so I am all over the place lol I am sure you know how it is :o)

Anyway this week at Allsorts it is Nicola's first turn to host the challenge and she has set "recycling/altering" as her theme. I saved this box from a Christmas gift I received knowing it would make a fabulous alterable item :o)

I have used the brand new Happy Happy Birthday cd from Funky Hand, it is on sale now and is a really great cd to use, as always the papers are delish and there are new templates and digi stamps.

Hmmmmm where has the last week gone? Seriously I feel robbed lol Anyway over at Allsorts we are looking for Flowers and Swirls :o)

I found this piece of vellum in my scrap drawer and thought the swirls would fit the theme perfectly, a couple of nestie layers, a few flowers from my stash and a punched flutterby and rub on sentiment and all done.

My turn to Get Funky today and Paula's fabulous theme of At the Seaside got me remembering going to the beach with my gran and grandad. My brother and I would try to be the first to shout "first to see the sea" when we got to the top of the hill that led down to the seaside. My gran had one of those old fashioned stripy deckchairs so I had a wee bash at making one lol A few straws and brads and a strip of Rainbow Stripey Stripes et voila a deckchair for Our Betty! I bet that Betty has her arm stretched out summoning a gorgeous waiter to bring her a cocktail lol

I also made a card for the theme, we all love to see the sun at the beach so I made this cheery card with the Craft the Year Away cd.

After my unintentional extended break I am delighted to get back into the crafting saddle!!! I have been a busy bee in the new craft room but at the moment I can't show everything! Funky Hand have a new cd coming out later this month so I have been beavering away with samples for Anice and woooweeee its a fantastic cd! There are soooo many gorgeous papers and some fabulous new templates and digi stamps. You are so going to want it!! The cd will be on Create and Craft on the 15th September at 9am and 4pm so tune in for some fabulousness lol Have a wee sneaky peek.......................

where have I been? and skidding in by the seat of my pants lol

Where have I been? Weeeeeell as you may remember we were moving house at the end of July. Talktalk (ggrrr) were supposed to come on the 1st of August to connect the phone and broadband and they didn't show up!! After 2 days of phone calls and complaints we ended up telling them to stuff it and went with bt but we had to wait until today to get up and running. Lordy 24 days without internet is sooooooooooooo depressing!! I hope I never have to do that again!!

The move went ok apart from the phone thing and the new house is looking fabby, a bit of decorating a few bits of newer furniture and I am happy with it. Lily is loving her new school and seems to be making friends fast which is a huge relief and the wee man, well what can I say? As long as theres some mischief for him to get up to he's happy lol

Now to the sliding in by the seat of my pants bit......

Crafty Ribbons my all time favourite ribbon peeps are starting a new challenge blog on the 1st September (yeehah) and are having a wee dt call here. To enter for this you need to get your backside in gear as the closing date is midnight tonight (eek). You need to make a blog post similar to this (maybe a bit less rambling lol) and show your 3-5 favourite pieces of craft. So here are mine :o)

Yes we are still enjoying a free and easy theme over at Allsorts. It has been lovely to make cards for the open theme, but oh wow what a huge number of entries we've been getting and commenting has been a busy job lol. Not that we are complaining! It's great to see so many entrants.

This week is my week to host and I made this card for it using my new Tatty Teddy stamp that I received a few weeks ago from a crafty aunt of mine :o) The paper is a scrap from the box so not sure where its from. I love paper piecing so thought it would suit the parasol.

This time next week the panda family will be all packed up and ready as we moving house. We will be sad to leave the Highlands, but I am glad to be moving closer to my family. With the arrival of the littlest panda (can you believe he's 19 months now?) our current house is a bit too small, only 2 bedrooms. So we are moving to a nice, larger home, where the wee pandas can have their own rooms :o)

Morning all and Saturday means another week at Allsorts :o) This month we are relaxing things a bit and have a free n easy theme for the whole of July!

A school friend's daughter has just given birth to a gorgeous wee girl so I made this card to send to the new granny! I am knitting a shawl for her but it is taking longer than I thought so am having to send that on later, a few more days should see it done. I am having to only do it after Alfie is in bed as it at the stage now where I need to concentrate and lets face it there is no way I can do that with the wee monster running around lol

Morning all and wow where has this week gone?? Last week of school always flies by I suppose, normally this is the day we leave for our holiday but with moving in 4 weeks we'll not be getting one this year, so here I am surrounded by empty boxes wishing I was driving to Devon!!

Anyway over at Allsorts we are having a Free and Easy month, yup July is an open theme month for a change :o) I decided on a 2 page wordbook for an 18th birthday. It printed out quite a dinky size (don't know how I did and if I will ever be able to do it again lol). It is from the Funky Hand cd Craft the Year Away. A few flowers, a flutterby and some scrummy ribbon to match the papers and a cute wee wordbook was made :o)

Friday is Lily's last day of school, so of course this brings up the problem of what to buy for the teachers as a thankyou. Money was a wee bit tight and Anice brought out a Tea themed download called Tea's Up so I decided to combine the two lol. So thinking of tea.....what comes to mind? Biscuits of course lol So bought a couple of packs of fancy biccies and set about playing, this is what I have come up with :o)

Saturday again so that means a new week at Allsorts. This week Helene wants lemon and lime colours on your cards and projects.

Ididn't have much in the way of lemon and lime colours on papers so used some scraps of card and my last piece of the scrummy ribbon from Crafty Ribbons. This is the card I have made for my step dad for Fathers Day. The image is a 3d decoupage sheet. Nice and simple and already cut YAY!! Had a scrap of blue card for the corners and nestie cut circle. If I'd had a full sheet I would have layered the paper onto it too. The paper is from the Salt n Pepper download from Funky Hand, its a great download all black and white and grey so it goes with absolutely EVERY colour :o)

Yay Saturday again, this week has been a bit of a draggy week, felt like Saturday would never get here lol. But here it is and its my week for the Allsorts challenge and I picked a 3-2-1 challenge, I want to see 3 papers - 2 ribbons - 1 flower

Sooooo many people I know having babies just now!! I made this one for a friend who had her son at the same time as I was having Lily. Her little girl came into the world and few days ago so I made this and knitted a wee cardi for the wee toot :o)

The papers are K & Co. The peachy layer is embossed with roses on the bottom half and swiss dots on the top half. Fower punch is EK success. All the bits and pieces are from stash :o) I used the rest of the papers to make another pram card but its not finished yet, back with that one tomorrow lol

This week Helen (mummylade) has set a fabulous challenge: Stamp A Lot, you have to use three different stamps! I wanted to do something a wee bit different for a change so I made this little bag using the french fry box template from Mirkwood Designs. The paper is Funky Hand Rainbow Polkadot download available here There are some gorgeous colours and as always they are fabulous to work with. Morning all and over at Allsorts it is my turn to set the theme and I chose Oriental. My card was stitched with a Stiching Cards pattern just with standard cross stitching threads. The paper is from stash. The charm is a mobile phone charm I've had for ages. I thought it could be a little gift so it is simply hanging over the brad and can be easily removed. The brad is stamped with a tiny character from the seeD's oriental set, the sentiment is also from this set. I hope you will come and join in the Oriental fun with us at Allsorts

I managed a few crafty moments this week!! A wee while snatched here and there and I manged to make a couple of cards :o) First up I made this card for a lady in the church who has been doing the flowers for years and she is retiring. this card will be from the congregation. Thsi week at Allsorts it is my turn to set the challenge and seeing as St Patricks day is this week I decided to go with that. So I am looking foranything Irish, anything Good Luck or anything with lots of green :o)

Oh dear I am having a bit of a white rabbit moment with this card.....I'm late I'm late! Alfie has been in the wars a little this last 2 weeks. Last week he had a bad cough and cold that was waking him in the night and ended up as a chest infection so that was a 10 days of sleepless nights. The on Sunday evening I noticed he was covered in a rash. Turns out this is a reaction to his MMR (measles, mumps and ruebella) injection he had 2 weeks ago, it's called mini measles apparently. He is totally fine he just has a rash all over, thankfully its not contagious or anything.

Anyway back to my card for this months InStyle Stamps. The image is called Princess Clarrissa and isn't she just so cute? I love her and I used her to make a card for Lily's friend who turned 6 yesterday. A perfect image for any little princess in your life :o)

Morning all and welcome to week 92 at Allsorts. This week the gorgeous Emma wants to see hand made flowers :o) I have used this gorgeous image by Christine Dark coloured with a mixture of Promarkers and Aquamarkers. Morning all and here is Saturday again......where are the weeks going? LOL This week at Allsorts Fleur has set an "Inspired by Nature" challenge. Now I don't have much in the way of floral or nature-y stamps but then I remembered this Sugar Nellie stamp, lots of flowers so thought it would fit :o) The ribbon is from crafty ribbons, paper is from the land of no idea and pearls are from stash. WOW a busy evening blogwise eh? Don't know whats come over me LOL

Anyway onto the Get Funky Challenge, the theme for this month has been "Going Round in Circles" and is closes at 7pm on Monday 14th of feb, so you still have the weekend to get your circle groove on and enter! There is also a freebie paper to download to get you started :o)

I made my card with the Craft the Year Away CD, the paper, sunshine image, bee image and the sentiment were all printed from it :o) The card base is a spring card and is made with a template I bought years and years ago and have used quite a lot. Had a wee go at making a nappy cake

I have heard of these and seen them online so I decided to have a wee go for my friend Lorraine who had a gorgeous wee pink bundle on Saturday :o) In the centre is baby shampoo and baby bath, surrounded by rolled up nappies. Pink layer is a blanket I knitted, wee sponge on the top with a wee pair of bootees. Have to admit I was quite pleased with it :o)

HURRAY!!! the launch day has finally arrived!!! The new CD "Craft the Year Away" was launched this morning on Create and Craft and is now available on the Funky Hand website.

You are going to love the cd it is amazing, I played with it for hours!! There are 12 colour collections, one for each month lol

Isn't this wee birdie so cute?? I fell in love with him straight away! He is called "Whirly" and will be available here soon. I made the sentiment on the pc as it was what came to mind when I saw the image lol.

The papers I have used are Funky Hand Hearts and Flowers download, the flowers come ready to print and I have simply cut them out and layered them. A few flat pearls and a gem brad et voila as the French would say :o)

I have no idea where the week has gone, its Friday already and I haven't had much chance to craft this week, mainly due to my little monkey man having a few restless nights this week, I think he has another tooth coming in bless him it always seems to get him up in the nights when he's teething. And when I am short of sleep I have no energy/enthusiasm for crafting!!

seeing as I haven't any cardage to show (until tomorrow of course lol) I thought I would show the cross stitch I made for our newest grand daughter Maisie's first Christmas. It has been a loooong time since I did any cross stitching and oh wow I had to concentrate......not such a great thing for me in the evenings after a day with the monkey man LOL But concentrate I did and got it finished and framed.

Some of you may have seen on the Funky Hand blog that there was a dt call and my news is that I have been picked to join it!!! I was doing a happy dance when I got the email from Anice and I am so excited to be joining the fabby dabby team :o)

We're all freezing our backsides off here in the panda household, the temps here have dropped again and the roads are treacherously icy! YUK! Normally the cold weather would mean plenty of crafty time but my wee monkey man has been unsettled at nights the last week or so and I just haven't got the energy to get the crafty stash out! Sad I know and something I am planning on rectifying tomorrow as soon as the wee monster is in bed for his lunchtime nap :o)

Morning all and Happy Saturday to you all! We have a wee smattering of snow here but it is threatening more......typical school goes back on Monday, knowing my luck the heating will be broken again and Lily will be home for longer (OH joy)

This week at Allsorts the gorgeous Emma is challenging you to use a fancy fold on your base card. Now I have to admit this made me a bit worried, its been a long time since I used anything other than a square card!!! But once I got into it I quite enjoyed it.....not that I'll be making one again in a hurry or anything lol but it was a fun afternoon lol

The papers are all Funky Hand Salt and Pepper download, ribbon and purple cardstock is SU as is the celebrate sentiment, the flowers are Papermania I think, the packaging is missing so I could be wrong, have had them for years. I also used the lacy circles nestie dies I got for Christmas oooohhh I am loving them they are gorgeous :o)

This week at Allsorts Fleur has set the theme of "thankyou". I have made this card for a friend of mine, she's not really a girly colour lover so used this lovely rich green card to back it. The pattern is from Parchmentcraft Magazine, its an old one. I have made this one a few times as I just love it. I had forgotten how long these parchment cards take to make! I started it on Friday and didn't get it finished properly and mounted til Sunday night. I should have taken the pic and posted it yesterday but we had a lot of visitors so I just didn't get round to it

Some good news

Hello all and I hope that 2011 is treating you well so far. We had a quiet New Year, hard not to with two little ones lol

I got some good news on New Years Eve.....actually it was after 12 so was officially New Years Day and that is that I have been chosen to join the DT at Instyle Stamps!! For the next three months I will be a chicklet :o) There are 10 other fabby crafters on the chicklet team with me and I am delighted to be working with them for the next few months.

I am so excited I can't wait to get started :o)

Seriously, how did 2011 sneak up on me? one minute I was getting organised for Christmas the next it was Alfie's birthday and now New Year!!

The kids had a really lovely Christmas day, Alfie didn't really know what was going on but he had a fab time with the wrapping paper and empty boxes :o)

With today being the 1st of the month it is a new challenge over at Penny Black at Allsorts and this month I am being a guest designer :o) The theme is "All you need is love" As I was so busy making notebooks for all of Lily's friends she pipes up on Christmas Eve......mummy are you making one for me for Christmas? I have no idea why not but it didn't even occur to me to make one for her lol So I knocked this up on christmas eve, the image is Penny Black "Gone Shopping", paper is a scrap, I used the cuttlebug to cut the photo corners and the ribbon slider. pearls etc all from stash.

I do hope you will stop by and join in this month, there are six fabulous stamps up for grabs this month and a date for your diary......on the 15th of January there will be a blog hop, it is certainly going to be a good one :o)

Yesterday I managed to get all the wrapping finished and the last two notebooks made. I have another project to do for Christmas presents but won't need them til nearer New Year so will be making them after Christmas, I ran out of time and steam!!

The sketch for this notebook is from Inspirational Card Sketches So now that I have finished all the opreparations and have now officially finished work for the holidays I am off to have a wee Baileys and maybe a mince pie to start the festive season properly!! :o)

Wahey week 83 at Allsorts and only a week til Christmas :o) Lily is so excited she is counting down sleeps as well as on her advent calendar! The challenge at Allsorts is "Anything Goes" and will be running for 2 weeks.

The image on this notebook Butterfly Tilda, coloured with the usual PMs, glossy accents on the shoes, flowers are all from stash. You can't see it much but there is some pale blue ricrac from Crafty Ribbons, blue buttons are from SU. The paper with the buttons on is actually an envelope from one of Alfie's baby cards!! Yes I have kept it for almost a year and put the image over the writing lol.

another wee present

Didn't get as much crafty time as I had planeed today as it was Lily's nativity play at lunchtime and this evening too. Awwww it was so good! This will be Lily's last year in the nativity as it is just primary 1-3 that are in it.

But I did manage to make a notebook. I am making these notebooks for all the kids I look after as well as a couple of Lily's friends :o)

Now if I am honest I am not the best at boys cards. I don't have many boys stamps, but I did find this one in the box, its a Whiff of Joy one from a while ago. Thankfully I only have one boy to make for lol. The papers are Dovecraft, the wee jumper is paper pieced with the brown diamond paper.

This week over at Allsorts Debs wants us to make a last minute Christmas card....not difficult with only 2 weeks til the day itself eh? We are having our Sunday School outing tomorrow, we are going on the Santa Express in Aviemore. Normally we should be having a party but with only 5 kids in Sunday School its a bit hard to get the party atmos going!

These cards and three below really were last minute, Monday was an inservice at the school so it was closed and it confused me completely, yesterday I was convinced it was Thursday and so hadn't made my DT card!! naughty panda lol. So got my skates on this afty and did these for the 5 sunday school kiddiwinks :o)

Allsorts week 81

late on parade again, mr blogger was playing up on me last night and had a busy busy day and am only now getting on the laptop! This week at Allsorts Helene's theme is "Light up the Night" so our cards must have a candle on. I decided to take this literally and have a real candle on lol

The decoupage and paper is by papermania, a gorgeous scrummy set, the turquoise cs is embossed with swiss dots and divine swirls, the icing and folds in the cake case have got glossy accents on and the sprinkles are glittered with stickles.

My card fits a couple of challenges:

Snowy day crafting!!

WOW o WOW haven't we had some freaky weather this week? Most of you have had loads of snow and its normally us laden down with the white stuff. For most of this week it has simply been too cold to snow, yesterday was the coldest day at around -20 bbrrrr

Today has warmed up a little though as the snow has returned lol Not too much just a few flurries....so far

While Alfie had his nap today I decided to get a couple of cards done. One is my card for tomorrows Allsorts challenge but this one is just for fun, well that and the baby girl my friend is having in the next couple of weeks lol

Hello all how are we all managing with all the white stuff? Hope you're all keeping warm with extra helpings of hot chocolate and lovely winter food lol. I made a fab pan of soup today to keep us warm. Yummy! Took this pic yesterday with my phone (which is why it is so rubbish haha) Plenty of snowman ingredient here!!

I had some good news the other day ~ I came 2nd in the polkadoodle challenge with my wee box with the gingerbread men on!! I am so chuffed :o) I am proudly displaying the button :o)

ETA how lucky am I that I also won two of the blog hop candies!!!??? Such a lucky girl, going to be getting some new stash then!!

Lily has been off school for 2 days now, its a bit treacherous out and about here so I am staying indoors lol Not that its given me any extra crafting time (boohoo). Alfie is one of those boys you need eyes in the back of your head for so can't sit at the table unless he's in his high chair and he doesn't like to be in it unless he's feeding his face lol. By the time both kids are in bed all I am fit for is collapsing in a heap in front of the tv. Am planning on doing some Christmas presents tonight tho :o) Hope to be back tonight or tomorrow to show them xx

Morning all and welcome to a snowy Saturday here in pandaland!! It looks lovely sitting here in front of the fire of course but ugh the mess ~ between the kids and dogs coming in and bringing Alfie's buggy in! Thank goodness we have laminate floor, I could mop it every 5 minutes and still it would be wet/dirty, ah well, at least it looks Christmassy lol

This week at Allsorts it is my theme and I have chosen Monochrome, black and white, any colour and white, shades of one colour.....whatever I'm not fussy haha

Awww I love this wee polar bear cub he's so cute!! We have two gorgeous polar bears at the Highland Wildlife Park which is just a couple of miles away, the first one, Mercedes, came last year she had been living in a tiny enclosure at Edinburgh Zoo since 1984 and now she has a fabulous living area. Just a few weeks ago she got a playmate, though she's too old to be mated (she's an old lady at about 29) her new friend is only 23 months old, so won't be ready to mate for another year or so! We love to go and visit the Wildlife Park and Mercedes is a firm favourite :o)
